Miriam Haskell Pin
This is a very old Haskell pin that I sold last year. I believe it is from the 1940's. Mother of Pearl shell with pate de verre beads, brass (?) and wood accents.
Miriam Haskell jewelry is very collectible and can sell for a lot if you have the right piece. Her baroque pearl necklaces usually sell well. But most people prefer the flashier necklaces that are just dripping with beads. Her items have a distinguished look, which makes way for lots of fakes and look-alikes. Be careful when purchasing Haskell jewelry, try to know something about it besides the name. I would refer to as many costume jewelry books as possible and research Haskell style and eras.
